Took Loratadine-D from January 13 to Friday January 20 inclusive.

I developed a terrible rash.

Called my Medical Primary care Clinic early Friday afternnon, who
advised me to go to ER.
I did that, taking with me all meds I am/was taking:
Loratadine-D from Duane Reade [a NYC drug store chain]
Flonase, used once a day
Albuterol used as needed, only c. 5 x a week

Because rash was only on legs, ER did not really think it was allergic
reaction.
Blood test indicated slightly elevated platelets [500]
They have set me up for dermatogy clinic for Jan 25

Rash on legs seems to have spread at existing areas slightly, and I
think filling in clear area between rash spots. New small spots on fore
arms.

I expect symptoms to go down from now on, having discontinued
Loratadine-D after dose Friday eve 11:00PM.

I stopped Loratadine-D due to reports of rash from other users on
internet

See
www.SNurl.com/Loratadine
for pic of my rash
here is there also a link where a few people have complained of a rash
as a side effect.

I am posting here, because I suspect Loratadine-D side effects may be
greater then generally known.

Any comments anyone?

Update:
I have posted Sunday pic,

Someone suggested possible alternative causes:
first choice - albuterol - most likely regardless of dosage or
frequency
2nd choice - flonase - less likely

If I get shortness of breath, I will call 9-1-1 for ambulance to ER.

Unfortunatly wife has ENT appt Monday AM at same hospital. I wanted to
take her. If she goes with me during nite she will not get enough
sleep.  She had serious ear infection possible linked to flu we
recently got. We are still sleeping 10 hrs a nite without feeling we
overslept.

PROBABLY LAST UPDATE, unless anyone wants further. I thank VERY MUCH
those who responded privately.

I stopped Loratidine-D with Friday eve dose

I stopped Flonase with Saturday eve dose

I would only take Albuterol if choking, last took Thursday eve

Went to ER Monday due to pain and worse condition. Even more blood
tests were done then Friday. Everything normal, even platelets wicth
had been elevated at 519 on Friday. Maybe due to only eating yogurt on
Friday???

ER prescribed PREDNISONE, a corticosteroid hormone [glucocorticoid],
[40mg/day] for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. At Friday ER
visit they set me up with dermatolgy visit for Wednesday
