I have been prescribed Alprazolam 1.0mg #30, 1 tablet by mouth every 8
hours as needed.  By my math, this is only 10 days worth of medication.
Granted, I do not take it every 8 hours, so it will last longer than
10 days, but not 30 days.  When can I refill this?  After 10 days? 20?
30?  What are the rules regarding this as far as the Pharmacy is
concerned.  I'm not too worried about the insurance picking it up
because it's such a cheap medicine anyway.

I just don't want to run out and then not have it if I need it.

Thanks in advance.

Providing you have refills remaining, it can be refilled at 10 days or
better.

I personally would not raise my eyebrows if the OP came in 7 or 8 days
for a refill... but definately not every 7 or 8 days...

Lots of situations (like the weatherman calling for snow on the
weekend) the OP lives 20 miles outside of town and has to come to town
anyway to visit a Dentist, or to get a haircut... yada yada

Its common sence...
