How does one tell they are starting to get tardive dyskenisia?

I am weaning off zyprexa and currently at 3.1mg. My lips feel a little
odd and I feel a compulsion to lick them frequently.

TD movements are usually involuntary rather than compulsive. Many drugs,
including olanzapine, can cause your mouth to dry, which perhaps could
explain the symptoms you describe.

Still, especially since you appear to worry about the risk of contracting
TD, I suggest speaking to your doctor. Antipsychotic medication should, in
any case, be constantly re-evaluated.
