Hello:

For anyone who might be knowledgeable regarding Neurontin, please:

a.  What are, or might be, the side effects of stopping Neurontin (after
having been taking for a yr or so) ?

b.  Same as (a), but halving the dose ?

c.  How long do these side effects last ?

Any suggestions on "good" Neurontin info sites ?
I did a Google, but couldn't find any good ones.

Thanks,
B.

Hi,
Google the generic name,(gabapentin)  too, and you will get some more
hits.

It should be safe to discontinue Neurontin. As far as I am aware of
(and I work in the field), there has never been a reported case of
Neurontin withdrawal.

I took Neorontin for three months and can't say it was any better for me
than Klopopin. I tapered off on my own, starting about three weeks before I
knew I would run out. I've been off it a year now. No withdrawal side
effects, and Klonopin and magnetic insoles in my shoes actually do better
for my neuropathy problems than Neurontin did.

I am just wondering if stimulating the nerves would do better than sedating
them. Does anyone know the effect of benzedrine, dexadrine, or even
ephedrine on neuropathies. Wait, scratch ephedrine. I had access to that
until about a  month ago and I can't say it did a thing for me, well, at
least not for my neuropathy. But would something stronger tingle the nerves
enough that the numbness and tingling might go away?
