Where did you read that the rx was filled with Hydrochlorot 25mg? Is that
what the label on the vial states?

I'd be willing to bet that the name was just truncated on the label due to
limitations of the software used to print the label. There is no drug
named Hydrochlorot (stateside, anyway).

Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is the generic. The brand name would be
Hydrodiuril. I haven't seen brand name Hydrodiuril for years although I
imagine they still make it.

Urination will be increased the most in the beginning, returning to more
normal levels after being on the med for a short while. Why do you want to
maintain the initial level of increased urine output? If fluid
retention/edema is problematic, you need to discuss it with your doctor.
They can change the dose or switch medication if deemed necessary.

There is also the problem of not knowing for certain what the doctor gave
you for the first two days. Just believing doesn't make it so. Assuming
that they were HCTZ 25mg tablets, it sounds as though your body has simply
adjusted to the medication. HCTZ is not the most potent diuretic and won't
cause you to keep urinating until you dry up and blow away. Additional
factors could be involved (manufacturing/inter-lot differences, given a
higher strength at the doctor's office, rx was filled improperly, etc) but
would be pure speculation.
