I have liver disease that was aggravated by five different attempts to use
statin drugs - three by the cardiologist
and two by the internist.   I refused to take anymore statins and have been
managing my cholesterol with diet,
exercise and fish oil capsules.   Currently I have high blood pressure.  The
cardiologist prescribed Diovan
which appears to have minimal side effects but is contraindicated if liver
disease is present.

Which HBP medication can I take without causing further liver damage?
How do statins damage the liver?

Thanks,

Zippy
