I take 20mg fluoxetine a day for depression. Today I went to the
pharmacy, complaining of an itchy mouth and sneezing, and was sold
the non-drowsy antihistimine loratidine (told to take 10mg a day).
The box of the antihistamine says to "take special care" if taking
it with fluoxetine. Should I go back to the pharmacist and ask about
this?

On my box of Dollar General Allergy Relief, AKA, Loratadine 10 mg *
Antihistamine no warning about taking it with fluoxetine appears. The
Warnings are: Do not use if you are allergic to it or any of its
ingredients, Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or Kidney disease,
Taking more than directed may cause drowsiness. "Take special care" sure is
a useless and vague warning message. I wonder if it refers to a possible
increase in drowsiness?

Both affect CYP450 isozymes and can have interactions, but are not
necessarily a problem. You can try them and see if there are any
problems within the next 3-4 weeks. You probably will be fine since
both medications you are taking are on the low end of the spectrum.
Look for symptoms of possible serotonin syndrome
(hyperpyrexia/hyperthermia...{look it up}) or excessive drowsiness, but
again your dosages are low, so I would expect no real problem.
