Yesterday a guy comes in with a prescription.
There were 4 drugs written on the 1 prescription.
I hate when prescribers do this but thats another story.
Anyway the first drug was Lortab 10 - tid.
The guy put a 1 in front of the 90 to make it 190.
The other drugs on the rx were all for 30 day supply.
Plus who writes for #190 of anything?
Called the doctor anyway to verify - doc sez "arrest them" - LOL
So I call the cops and they come and do their thing - they even found the
alledged pen that did the altering.
Funny part was while he was waiting he got a soda.
And even though he had a police escort, my techs would not let him leave
without paying for the coke!
Had to borrow 65 cents from his "aunt" accomplice.
I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard.

It's the doctor's own fault, he should have written "Ninety" instead of "90"
tabs. Putting a "1" in front of numerically-written quantities is the
oldest trick in the book for forgers.
