can someone in the know comment on this story ?
i can believe itspossible or is happening .

The local village "gossip" is going on about some Thai Thieves working
their way around the area. I am being told that this was also reported
recently in one of the Thai newspapers (Daily News?).
Basically I'm told the "Thieves" act out that they are selling some
product to the potential victim and somehow rub some kind of "drug"
onto the skin. This drug supposedly does not knock you out, but puts
you in some kind of daze or trance where you willingly hand over your
money, jewelry, whatever.
The locals are insisting it is true and even have a couple of local
Farangs convinced (but not this one ermm.gif )
Anybody else heard of such a story being reported. If such a drug
exists, it sure sounds like it's got some potential for more than just
stealing money, jewelry.

I don't advise you to believe the story until you see the same story in
your local newspaper or "USA Today". In addition, buy the news magazines
such as Time and Newsweek when the next issue comes out and see if the
story is in either one of those magazines. If the AP has a website--you
could check it. It is probably one of the stories from "Star" or "National
Enquirer". They have crazy stories like this one on a regular basis. You
can't believe hardly anything in those types of papers.
