Hi--
My Dr told me to start taking Glucosamine Sulfate at 1500 mg/day, then later
possibly go up to 3000 mg/day.
I've seen so much that is Glucosamine and Chondrotin (sp?) but nothing on
just Glucosamine Sulfate.
Anyone know much about the difference between the two?
Could it be that he chose the sulfate because I'm diabetic on pills and
Insulin, on Plavis, heart risk  40% ejection rate, or carotid 60 % blockage?
Is there some counter-indication involved?

Thanks---
Ron

Hmm, doubtful he chose "sulfate" due to your other conditions.
Most likely reason is the vast majority of glucosamine on the
US market is in the sulfate salt form, and most of these products
are in combination with the chondroitin.  Some claim the chondroitin
aids in the product's "lubricating" bone joints.  Either way, there
is little risk of side effects with either combo or single product.
