Hello,
I just recently got my pharmacist license in WA, but I'm having a hard
time deciding which retail chain to work for --I am currently working
with Brooks in CT and plan to move to WA soon-- I would appreciate any
feedback from people working in that area..
My understanding is that Rite Aid has the most openings and incentives
(in the southern district), but I'm afraid they have a bad reputation
and that the company isn't doing that well financially. Walgreens
offered the lowest rates and they only had float positions. Bartell's
and Albertson's seem promising but we don't have them in the east cost
so I don't know much about them!
Thank you,
-MK

At least you have the good sense to ask this question...
Rite Aid.... ya gotta be kidding only way I could even see myself be
hind one of their counters is if I could not speak a word of
English...
Honestly I think I would just spend a few days in the area...and walk
into several stores and offer to buy the Pharmacist lunch the next day
or take him or her out to the local Pub for a drink etc and sit down
and talk to them...
May cost you a few bucks BUT what the hell...

Go with an independent.
This is your chance to break loose from your "chains".
Better working environment, pay, hours, use of your skills.
