I read an article about heart problems and the author of the
article stated that some medical experts have recommended that
people take two or three drinks of red wine each day.
What does this mean?
Is a drink of red wine the same as a cup or glass
of red wine.

My understanding is a drink of wine is defined as a glass of wine. A glass
of wine is usually mentioned as having 4 to 6 fluid ounces of wine.
If you were drinking fortified wine you would get more alcohol as compared
to drinking regular twelve per cent red.
