Compare naproxen to cheeseburgers

What would make more sense to me than the current flap over naproxen and
other NSAIDS causing heart attack and stroke would be a comparison of risk
between the eating cheeseburgers or naproxen. That would be for patients of
the same age. Arcane statistics are not much of a help. Moreover, the
comparison should be in terms of extra days lived or not lived rather than
in terms of morbidity/mortality.

I am now suffering from a problem that is not life threatening but merely
life ruining. I am considering suicide by cholesterol. I still enjoy eating
a nice greasy steak full of all kinds of tasty polycyclic hydrocarbon
derivatives.

Maybe in patients with renal problems, etc. but  old time data seems to
suggest a decrease in MI's in patients taking nsaids.  Cox II's probably
elevate blood pressure even in healthy patients and thus there is a direct
correlation with elevating BP and MI.   Also cox II's may selectively
increase endothelial stickiness without causing platelet anti-sticking
effects, while the NSAID's may cause an increase in endothelial sensitivity,
they probably decrease platelet adhesion.
