Nationalized Health Care

I don't know, I'm starting to think we should have a nationalized HC
system.  I mean, it seems inevitable. The system now is far from
perfect: affluent people have care, and Medicaid helps the supposedly
poor, and a lot of people in the middle get squat.

A lot of other nations have it, and they seem to get by, maybe not the
best, but not the worst either.

The chief issue I see is: How much care do we provide? Anyone in HC will
know what I'm talking about: the issues are countless. For example, do
we cover...
-eyeglasses
-contacts
-Lasix
-abortion
-birth control
-viagra
-fertility treatments
-nicotine patches
-aspirin
-"experimental" therapies
-chiropractors
-dentists
-insulin pens
-plan B

Do you cover as much care as a dying patient desires? What about the
illegal aliens?

I guess I'd like to see a system that covers "routine" health care, but
I guess if I'm the patient, "routine" covers everything under the sun.
If you are the patient, "routine" care will be pretty skimpy.

And again, in my experience, limitations on care are close to a joke:
Yell loud enough at your insurance company, and they will often back
down.

I very much wish to hear other poeple's opinions.

Don't you think the easiest step for universal health care in the USA would
be to expand the existing Medicare system?  This system is proven to work
In my case I got it earlier than 65 as I am disabled from an automobile
accident.  I have noticed also that people with no insurance and in the
middle class tend to get the biggest health care bills.

But you can get operated on in a minute in the USA. There is not much wait
for surgery.  However this month's  issue of the AARP magazine has an
article that seems to indicate that cardiac bypass surgery is done more
often than necessary in the USA. In Canada bypass is a last resort but in
America it is often the first choice before trying various drugs. How can
this problem be fixed?

the large corporations dont want it and is long as they are in control we
will never have it. Fools they are, and so are the people who follow them.
God bless Hilary Clinton.
