I am healthy and a 32 year old male. We are expecting a baby in
December.

I am debating getting the flumist vaccine because it is the only thing
available localy.

Has anyone received this vacine and can you get sick off of it? (Fever,
chills, etc.)

I have alot of things going on this week and I cant get sick for them.
I wanted to make sure of what to expect before I get it.

The safety and efficacy of FluMist have not been established in pregnant
women or for patients with chronic underlying medical conditions, including
asthma or reactive airways disease; the vaccine should not be administered
to these patients
This is from the manufacturer.

It is a live virus as opposed to the injectable.  flu like symptoms are
certainly possible.

Ha! I just noticed that you were a male so I guess you are not the one
pregnant...but good info for those who are.
