I'm a undergrad who is going to be applying to pharmacy schools in the
next two years. I found a transcript of the Pharmacy Education Act
online, and if the federal government is willing to reimburse my
tuition loans for 35k a year, this would greatly help me stomach the
financial burden of four more years of school. What is the status of
this bill. I see that it has passed through the Senate. Has it hit
Bush' desk yet?

The USPHS will reimburse tuition if you sign with certain agencies such as
the Indian Health Service (maybe Bureau of Prisons too, not sure).  A very
nice sign on bonus, too.  DOD has very generous loan repayment programs for
pharmacists as well.

If you're worried about tuition, these are worth a look.

There are a few recources out there if you agree ahead of time to "work" for
them after graduation.  Walgreen's was a big one who did this 10 to 15 years
ago.  Other federal organizations I know of, are the armed forces, such as
Navy and Air Force.
