This would depend on your medical conditions and what meds you've
been on. For example as I dimly recall the med minocycline or some
similar drug tends to chelate copper and this in turn makes those
person using it prone to ruptured tendons. Don't get me wrong
it is possible to get too much copper, indeed some don't handle
copper well....Wilson's disease.

The idea is prevent "pulled muscles." Proper conditioning helps.
Meaning start slow and build slowly. Don't do the High School
pinhead thing, and be competative with free weights for example.
General good nutrition is helpful. There can be issues of inflammation
and
there are a range of ideas of what to do concerning ones
intake of fatty acid ranging from fish oil supplement to making
coconut a primary food.

At least a little vitamin C should be good as it will help
you mend.
