It is a rumor that being overweight will cause diabetes in every
person at some people. Some people are VERY obese and die of old age
without ever getting diabetes.
I've met many 'normal weight' people with type II diabetes.
The biggest risk to being a fatty seems to be heart attacks and
stokes.
Tubbies need not see diabetes as enevetiable or written in stone for
them.
Exercise 30-45 minutes per day, even walking SLOW will be enough to
avoid many fatty-related diseases.
Also, fatties should worry more about the stress on their joints and
muscles than anything else.
So if you're a tubby please don't worry yourselves to death about
getting type II diabetes. The science and statistics do not back that
fear up.
Of course their was this runner freak once who said running was a good
cardio exercise. At about the age of 50, yes 50, the man died while
taking his daily run.
You can eat right and exercise and still drop dead at an early age, it
happens all the time to people.
Most of this is LUCK and heredity at best.
If you have male members in your family that made it past 60 then
you're probably going to avoid most illnesses anyway.
Their is also something to be said for having fun while being on this
Earth. Their is nothing more boring than being a grass eater and
forcing yourself to dance around like an idiot 7 days a week.
Life if very short, even if you live to be 100 years old wouldn't you
want to have some fun, eat nice tasting foods etc?
Not to mention grass eaters live on average 5 years less than regular
eaters.
Theirs nothing like the taste of pork and beans or a slice of pizza
followed by a nice couple of beers.
Have fun
