My father told me, several years ago, that 5 almonds equals one
aspirin, as content of acetylsalicylic acid.
He doesn't remember where he found such a statement.
Someone can tell me where on the web I can find publications which can
support (or correct) what he remembrs?
With many thanks and kindest regards.

A number of natural foods naturally contain acetylsalicylic acid,
including almonds.

That property definitely is NOT what almonds are known for in the
alternative treatment department.  I was not able to find any research
studies that even attempted to study this aspect of almonds.  Nor,
even a web page that strongly recommended the intake of almonds to
treat headaches.  It is simply a fact being casually tossed about.

The best test is to simply try it out for yourself, and see what
happens.  If it works at all, I would expect it to be a very slow
method of treating a headache.

As for me, I prefer using BC Powder shaken up inside a tumbler full of
water.  Fast acting and is easy on the stomach.
