I'm at a loss.
It only took me 44 days of fasting to change from an endomorph to an
ectomorph, but certain quandaries have arisen.
During the fast, my thinning hair stopped thinning and came back thick
and profuse. A long-standing skin problem cleared up. My ravenous
appetite went away.
And there's the rub. Not only is my hair thinning and falling out
faster than ever, and the rash needs medication to keep at bay, but
tonight the worst (perhaps) happened. I didn't feel like eating, but I
forced myself. And now I think it was a mistake, but I'm not sure.
My weight has crept up a tiny bit, not enough to be concerned about, but
I have a feeling I better go back to fasting if I ever hope to avoid
baldness.
The confusing part is that I took supplements once in a while, even
during the fast, and I'm not sure what made my hair grow.
Could it have been the fasting alone which did it?
Or is it more likely to be the fact that my sex drive took off during
the fast, and I frequently gave in to it? Could it be that I haven't
been exercising much recently? Is it more likely to have been the
alpha-lipoic acid, carnitine, CoQ-10, DMAE, DHEA, salmon oil, etc.?
What?

I'll suggest a couple of things. One with the weight loss you've
improved your blood pressure and your handling of sugars plus
you've dropped your estrogen level and then the alpha lipoic acid
and carnitine have helped such that vascular system is dilating better
and thus penile function is improved.
The DHEA can help or hurt function depending on your weight,
testosterone
level, and other meds. In males it tends to get converted to
estradiol (E2) due to the first pass effect when taken orally. Still
it can help function in some, IMHO. On the other hand, raised
E2 can be hard on the prostate as it makes for a greater risk
of PC.

If I had to guess I'd say you gave your
body a rest from foods you shouldn't be consuming.
It's a long and arduous journey to find
what foods you should be eating, but
it is WELL worth the effort.
btw, from what I know about Endomorphs
and Ectomorphs, being that they're body
types, I don't think you can change from
one to the other. (genetically determined)

Perhaps, but given the wave of obesity occurring in the Western
nations
and now even China, II'll suggest simple sugars (corn syrup), even
lots of
fruit year around, high glycemic index foods can convert the
slim into the obese.
