Why do almost all blueberry muffins contain artificial flavors?

Hi Bob. Commercial prepared food can also contain all sorts of junk
which is not required to be put on the label. Your best bet for
getting the outstanding benefits of blueberries is to buy a bag of
them frozen. Add a little sweetener if you like, and enjoy the full
benefit. Mixing them with yogurt is also very tasty. Eating
blueberries that way lets you be in control of the ingredients,
insofar as is possible.
Sincerely, BlackHawk

Have you noticed that when rinsing out a bowl with a bit of blue
blueberry juice in it, the color changes from blue to red immediately?
I suspect it has something to do with the change in pH.

They are too cheap to use real berries or even decent
flour. Commerical baked goods are nearly always
junk food. Even home baked goods aren't perfect
as foods go but they are vastly better in comparison.

Blueberries are very perishable.
