Someone at alt.support.diet suggested I X-post this question here.
I'm looking for a multivitamin that has all the fat soluble (D,E,K,
beta carotene) vitamins recommended when taking xenical/orlistat.  The
one I take now (Dr. Whitaker's Forward Plus) lacks K and beta carotene
(but includes A, does that mean I don't need to worry about beta
carotene?).  Also, what about omega fatty acids, etc.  Am I in danger
of losing too much of those when taking xenical?

Thanks!

Xenical is a lipase inhibitor. The drug book mentions that
the fat souble vitamins have decreased absorption with its use.

I think you would be better of with individual supplements.
The few supplements that I've seen that combined
fat soluble vitamins were always lacking something, IMO.

As you are clearly obese and the obese tend toward
diabetes and diabetics tend to have impaired conversion
of beta-carotene into vitamin A, I submit preformed
vitamin A has a place in your vitamin regimen.

Some vitamin E capsules are in water soluble
bases to improve dispersement though
I not sure how helpful that is your situation.

Best wishes on the weight loss.................
