I've been using Free Agent to access newsgroups for years.  It's no
longer free and I've got 1 day left to use it without paying.  Just
wondering what applications others use to access this newsgroup, and
if you pay or use freeware.

Thanks!!
Cheers,
AB

Ditto. You seem to have upgraded to version 4.1. Any major
improvements to the version 3.3 which I'm using?

I forget was 3.3 was like. I think there is a description of changes on the
website.

I use Agent for both email and newsgroups. I use it for email because it is
relatively well-protected from nonsense that outlook is subject to. V 4.1
has display of html messages without using html (as a security feature).
There is better automated handling of folder assignments and support for
multiple personas. I've used other systems and like the more powerful
filtering available with Agent. How else could I use this and the cardiology
group?!

Dialog, freeware ( www.40tude.com )

I don't really know Agent, but I heard someone saying that Dialog resembles
Agent.
