Hi
I'm in my early 30s, very fit, have a good BMI and generally lead an
active lifestyle. I've been tested for diabetes, Coeliac disease and
blood sugar levels and everything is normal. My problem does seem to be
linked to my food intake, after which i get waves of tiredness. This in
its self is not my main concern, its something that i can live with.
something that does concern me is how i look. I get terrible sunken
eyes and generally look half dead. I have experimented with numerous
diets, cutting out meat, dairy products refined sugar etc all with no
success. The only difference comes when i eat nothing but apples, and a
few bananas and drink nothing but water for a course of 3 days; during
the first couple of days i feel fantastic and my eyes appear bright and
alert. anyone got any theories/explanations?

Define fit.

What kind of exercise do you do?  Running every day, perhaps?

I do run everyday, probably around 25 miles a week. I started around 2
years ago hoping it would it might be the answer. to be honest, i
havent really noticed any changes.

I am NOT surprised, because that is your problem.  You are over doing
your running.  Cut back on your running.  And, eat more food.  It will
take time for your body to recover.  That is the solution to your
tireness problem.

Whatever your original problem was, your current problem is too much
running in combination with not enough food.

I just shared some ideas with a person who had similar problems.  Go to
my free web site:

http://groups.msn.com/TheScientificDebateForum-/

and then go to the nutrition forum (click on "Nutrition"), and you will
see a thread entitled something like "Questions about fish oil."

However, there is a lot of other information that you might find
helpful.  It is not meant to be read in a day, so give yourself time.
You can also ask me questions there.

To the original poster, this Kook responds to just about any complaint
with the same tired answer.  (Pun intended)
