hi, I wonder if any have some study of why some people (incl myself on
and off) get very sleepy/drowsy after having a large meal, especially
a carbohydrate meal. The facts, so far, are many: increased serotonin
levels in brain; a sudden drop of blood sugar; brain chemistry
reacting, shifting to "parasympathetic mode" etc. etc.

I wonder, what is THE cause? How does insulin play in this picture?
I still have lots of unanswered clues.. if any could enlighten me with
scientific studiesor facts, not just guess-works? thanx.

You've already listed the major factors. What more do you want to know?
Are you interested in a detailed explanation of the physiological
reasons behind these factors?
