Any opinions on Medium Chain Triglyceride Oil?

Has there been any definitive answers on this product?  If you are not
familiar with it, here is a link describing it:

I saw one research that says it raises triglycerides, but it involved
some ridiculous value, such as 50% of your days calories from that.

Several dubious claims, many of which any food oil would show in the same
context of the careful wording.

It is very easy to absorb, is low calorie (relative to mostly long
chain fatty acid TGs), and is an excellent energy source.  That said,
there is no reason to avoid the major naturally-occurring source of it,
coconut oil, rather than buy a processed product.  With coconut oil, if
it smells and tastes fresh, then it's good - no need to worry about it
like one has to do with olive oil, which can be a mixture of low grade
and high grade sold as the top quality stuff (though organic, purple
olives are fine).
