Yeah, right. Big surprise that the head of the sugar industry would
make such a statement without any scientific study or proof whatsoever.
People are supposed to take this guy's word for it??
..."Andrew Briscoe, president and chief executive of the Sugar
Association, said at the annual meeting of the main U.S. industry group
American Sugar Alliance."
Why would you even post something so ridiculous? (Why am I even
responding to something so ridiculous?)

I posted it because it is so ridiculous. It is important to know that
these bastards (the sugar industry) is being subsidized with taxpayer
money and spreading lies at the same time to keep the federal income
stream flowing.

Intellectually dishonest, but I'd say it's probably true, or largely so,
in that maybe for that particular sugar molecule, sucrose, consumption
has gone down as they say. So that could be true, and so the
correlation wouldn't be there for that specific molecule. My guess,
though, is that total sugars consumed have almost certainly gone up, and
would have a correlation. So you could probably "blame" things like
high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, etc. The advent of cheap,
shelf-stable fats, as well.

And your rational answer is to put healthcare under the NIH, FDA and BUSH?
I would suggest you Canadians need a reality check.
It would never happen because of the pathetic system for all to see in
Canada and because of the abuses of NIH, FDA and Bush. The reason why it is
peeing into the wind with making changes is because you are dealing with
federal agencies that answer only to politicians.
You hear TC fall in love with the Canadian government when they kill people
waiting for treatment and then when it comes to the US federal agencies all
of a sudden they are corrupt.
The answer is to put the healthcare under a federal system and then TC will
love all the US agencies.

I never said the NIH was clean and pure. I said I don't want to have a
national system under the FDA like they have in Canada with Health Canada. I
don't want federal politicians running healthcare. Please report all the
abuse by federal regulatory agencies and then proclaim your Health Canada as
a model for the world.
Please complain about George Bush and the way he handles the budget
including war expenditures. Then proclaim Canada with the Prime Minister as
the ideal system as head of healthcare.
I said that YOU complaining about the US does nothing for YOU as a Canadian.
It only makes you a troll.
