As you know the water industry is booming. It is actually a
billion dollar industry. Amazing!! If I would have told you that 30
years ago you would've laughed me off the stage. Actually Johnny Carson
did. He did a little bit about selling water. He was a prophet and
didn't even know it.

I will be quiet now and let you check it out.

The water we should be drinking is distilled water, for the reasons
outlined in Fit for Life by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond.

Distilled water is very inexpensive.  I used to buy it by the gallon
for a quarter from vending machines in Florida some years ago.

Mineral waters are actually destructive to the body, as they leave
deposits that the body cannot process and must flush out.

If you cannot get distilled water, then filter your water.  This is
more expensive and produces a less pure result, but it is a second-best
alternative.

Hey Visual Purple,

This is not just purified water. This product actually puts Oxygen
into your blood stream. It's totally legit. Check it out. If you don't
like it they'll give you your money back.
Once again the site is www.xoomaworldwide.com/increase

"This is not just purified water. This product actually puts Oxygen

Free radicals are created when oxygen in excess combines with the tissues
of the body, it is to be avoided and much effort is taken to combat free
radical formation.  The money back gimiicks are a hoot, the postage one
pays up front not only pays to have it sent, it also covers the cost of
the product, such are the huge profits and markups of these false
products.  Dollars to doughnuts the bottle it comes in costs more then the
contents.  Water always puts oxygen in your blood stream, it is made of
hydrogen and oxygen in combination which doesn't contribute to the free
oxygen problem.
Visual Purple - 08 Aug 2005 23:55 GMT
Agreed.

Hydrogen Peroxide will oxygenate my blood too.  You won't find me
drinking it any time soon.

This is not H2O its X2O. It increase your PH level. When you drink
things such as cola or other acid rich products your PH level is
lowered. Just drinking water won't bring it back to normal levels.
Water has a PH of 7.0
Cola has a PH of 2.0
Just drinking water won't bring your PH up to your normal level.
That's why X2O was created.
X2O has a PH of 9.9
But don't take my word for it. Check it out yourself.

Even not doing anything WILL bring my pH up to a normal level (actually it
won't change much at all)-
I have various buffer systems in my body and I bet yours is pretty much the
same.

If you want to drink huge ammounts of soft drinks pH levels are probably the
smallest problem you will face.

This is nothing but spam from a MLM scam.
   Let's look at the lies:
1>    "Hydrate: X2O sachets actually make water "wetter" by lowering the
surface tension of water molecules. This dramatically increases your water's
ability to hydrate your body at the cellular level."
Surface tension is a phenomena that occurs only when a drop of water is
exposed to air, and thus -has- a 'surface".  In the body, there is NO
surface, thus NO surface tension.  Thus, the claim is nonsense.

2>    "Mineralize: Every Sachet of X2O contains calcium, magnesium, and over
70 trace minerals."
   So does any plant material.

3>    "X2O is delivered in a pure ionic form, which means it is immediately
bioavailable to the body."
Water spontaneously disassociates to form an equilibrium mixture of
ions; X2O does nothing to alter that.
"The presence of other ions in dilute aqueous solution does not
significantly perturb this equilibrium constant. Therefore, this value is
used for pure water and such solutions."
http://wine1.sb.fsu.edu/chm1046/notes/AcidBase/DissH2O/DissH2O.htm

4>    PLEASE present some scientifically-credible studies that determined
that:
"
a.. Assimilate vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat and the
supplements you take
a.. Combat arthritis and heart disease
a.. Cleanse the kidneys, intestines, and liver
a.. Protect your body from free radical cell damage
a.. Increase muscle and joint mobility
a.. Increase your oxygen levels
a.. Control digestive problems
a.. Regulate blood sugar
a.. Manage blood pressure
a.. Neutralize harmful acids that lead to illness
a.. Help in fighting the battle against cancer and other diseases "

Making grandiose health claims without proof is, uhh, illegal.

5>    "Xooma X2O has also been tested by an independent laboratory located
in the NASA Langley Research Center.
Where are the results of these "tests"??  Identify the laboratory.

6>    "The degree of "negativity" of an ORP reading is an indicator of how
bioavailable and bioabsorbable a product will be in your body. The lower the
test reading, the more ions are available for your body's metabolic
functions. X2O is the only product of it's kind to register "minus" readings
on the ORP meter; a huge benefit over the other products tested."
Define ORP, and list the ORP's of all products tested.

you surely have a study handy on that gem?

No, you didn't.  The water sold from those machines are simply filtered
city water, or reverse osmosis/filtered;  There are no vending machines that
distill water for you.

Our Government is always trying to find way to increase employment.  They
strarted putting chlorine in drinking water so people would worry about it and
switch to filtered water. More jobs.   Then the people got used to the
chlorinated water and weren't worried so much so our Goverment now uses
chloramines which smell like chlorine.  The bottled water industry is booming.

COMMENT:

why would I want additional oxygen in my bloodstream? there is plenty of it
bound to my hemoglobin, i don't need the cells in my body to be incubated
with a toxic diradical more than necessary, thanks.

He has a naive notion about oxygen. I am surprised he doesn't have a
hyperbaric oxygen chamber like Michael Jackson had for sleeping.
He just simply posts without really defending his statements.
