A *Great* Lunch

I see there are a number of threads here asking about what foods are
best to eat for lunch in order to feel great and perform at optimum
levels.

I'll give an example of what I'm going to have for lunch today:

A cup of leechies, peeled and frozen
Half a cup of blackberries (I'm going out in the sun today)
A large banana
2 Tbs. of ground flax seeds
2 Tbs. of wheat germ
About a cup and a quarter of organic soy drink (from soy beans that are
not genetically engineered!) or enough soy drink to make the blades of
the blender turn just enough to produce a thick smoothie.

I won't be hungry after a lunch like that, will feel light and be
raring to go until dinner time.

You can, and should, vary the fruit.  I try to go for richly-colored
fruit like mango, yellow peaches, cherries, plums, etc., but sometimes
I like some  of the light-colored fruits like leechies.

Bananas give a lot of energy and potassium, so necessary to optimum
functioning of the nervous system.  It prevents leg cramps too.

The wheat germ and flax seeds not only provide a feeling of fullness,
they provide many nutrients.  Check this out for yourselves.

The protein in the soy will keep my blood sugar stable.

Soy is very important for peri- and pre- and menopausal women.  The
phytoestrogen in soy is very similar to estrogen and precludes needing
hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women, which can be very
dangerous. But that is another subject entirely.

To your health!

Try getting a life, Purple.

Read a book.  And, try growing up.

Just thought that you might want to know.  I have a very long memory.
And, I will attack any stupid post of yours, that I see, from now until
the end of time.

Cheers ...

Yeah why don't you get a life and become an internet stalker like John
Gohde.

Hi, Paul:

I'm new here too.  What I can make out is that there are a few people
on this list whose purpose it is to torpedo real healthful living.

Whenever a post goes up that can actually obviate getting people sick
they try to discredit the person.

I suspect that at least some of them are in the health professions.

Keep your sense of humor on.

A cliche a day...You're set for the next three days!

I've gotten under your skin!  After one week here you're obsessed with
me - a perfect stranger. He's checking me out to see where else I'm
posting too!

This is GREAT!  What fun!

Air-popped pop corn is pretty healthy. I'm going to love bouncing you
off the walls.

Please DO show all of cyberspace what a total loser you are.

ROFL.

It was Stacy last week, and Visual Purple this week.  Tomorrow, it

Quacks like Monty, come and go all the time. He has been here for 3
years. It was about time, that I picked up on his Quack status. :)

Mr. Health:

There's nothing wrong with you that a good rim job wouldn't cure in a
jiffy.

Do us all a favor and go out and get f.cked.  You obviously need it -
BAD.

We'll take up a collection and send you to a pro if need be.  Chances
are it'll be difficult for you to charm an ordinary person into bed.

Hello, Purple the racist Zionist, who lives in Israel:

Ms. Zionist.

Last week there was Stacy.  A few weeks before that it was PizzaGirl,
who has a wife. This week it is, Purple.  It is all in a days work for
'the Man.' All these girls before you are mighty silent today. :)

Purple once tried to get a life, but the lesbians kicked her
out of their gay club for being Bi.   read about it:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/soc.culture.israel/msg/fadd3e5338402ff9?hl=en&

Purple, thinks that everybody is an ignoramuse. :(

You have my condolences, Purple. :)

"Purple, thinks that everybody is an ignoramuse."

That's spelled ignoramus, imbecile.

"You have my condolences, Purple."

Why??? Are you intending to die already?  Please don't go so soon.  I
intended to torment you for awhile before you have a stroke or heart
attack from being infuriated.

I want to know what you do when I kick you up against a wall.

Do you:
bounce like a ball?
stick like a booger?
-or-
slide down the wall like a greasy rag leaving an ugly stain behind you
as you go?

Easy to suggest, hard to accomplish. Remember, this is Johnny boy
we're talking about!

Maybe he just hasn't met the right guy yet. ;o)

The price of blackberries in Canada are atrocious! I love them but the
cost is ridiculous for the small amount you get.

>A large banana

Trying to eat more.

>2 Tbs. of ground flax seeds

I take it in oil form, generally 1-3 teaspoons per day.

For me the jury is still out on soy. I believe the soy industry is
basically misleading us about the quantities that Asians apparently
consume. Not only do they not consume the amounts of soy we are told
by the soy industry but they don't even consume the same kinds of food
products. Good point in mentioning the GE soy products. They are very
common now in North America.

Unfortunately one does not get the same variety of fruits you do in
more Northern climates. :o(
