It's really beautiful too.

The Institute of Jewish Medicine - based on the principles of health as
expounded by Maimonides

Is there any science to this approach to medicine
or is it purely faith/religion based as it appears?

How long did people live 3,000 years ago?
Does that answer your question?

No, that doesn't disprove everything they do
any more than the continued existence of their
practice proves that there's any value to it.

I think that some herbs of somewhat ancient origin
have been found to have true function (off the top
of my head: the statin in red yest rice, HCA in bitter
melon, Momordica charantia).

With these in mind, I was allowing for the possibility
that some part of it wasn't just faith based chanting
or whatever.

I fully expect that the OP is just a spammer or
happy-talker.

Hi, Ed:

Please take a look at this and decide if it fulfills your criteria of
what constitutes scientific.

You can, of course, write to him and ask for particulars

That certainly has nothing to do with scientific evaluation.
There is no mention of any such effort.

This man's credentials are that he is president and founder
of the college and institute.  While this doesn't prove that
he doesn't do the world's best science, all we know is he
makes the same claim (president and founder) that half the
snake oil salesmen make.  The other half don't bother.

Your post seems to confirm you have no idea how to evaluate
whether something works.  You can post anything like this on
an "alt" newsgroup where no proof is expected, faith is
enough.

You can write to him for me.  I see no reason to believe
he has anything to say.

Great beard and a beautiful hat. Has he
written any refereed papers, performed
any "gold-standard" studies?
