There has been a talk in Macdonalds about improving by introducing foods
with less saturated fats , decreasing the portion sizes and introducing
healthy salads . Have they really improved ?

Why bother, the only people who complain about MacDonalds being
unhealthy are people who would never eat there.

If the free radical hypotheses are correct, the food is probably worse,
though probably by very little. Who knows? If you become a scientist,
do a simple experiment. It's called a Rancimat test. Compare various
fast food items to "basic" food items, like hard-boiled eggs, cheese,
etc. It would be interesting to see the results of such a test, though
I doubt that I'd be surprised. Usually, if they use things like
homogenized, frozen egg whites or low-grade, partially-hydrogenated
oils you will get results that are meaningless to a person who only
eats fresh, whole foods, so that's a possible joker in the deck.

They've stopped selling their super-sized super-carbed meals. That is a
good thing.

Although it is somewhat good that McDonalds is introducing salads and
decreasing portion sizes but this is only a small step for Mcdonalds. I
believe that Mcdonalds and any fast food place like Mcdonalds cannot
actually serve all healthy foods. What we need see more often is to
have resturants that are fast foods but are totally healthy and that
use organic ingredients. So what do you think?

McDonald's serve junk food and also have the other kind. So if a family goes
there they have something for everyone. But I wish they wouldn't put strawberry
sauce at the bottom of their vanilla milkshakes.

I agree that Mcdonalds is making some improvements but there is still
much that needs to be done to transform Mdonalds into a more healthier
resturant. In my opinion there needs to be more resturants that serve
all healthy foods. Some California resturants are totally healthy and
serve organic foods. So why can't we have those types of restruants
here? Well we have California Pizza Kitchen which has made its way from
the west coast and we might as well migrate some other restruants as
well to the east coast. I do however feel if we had more access to
fruits and vegetables that easily thrive in California then we could
open these types of resturants.
However, do you think people on the east coast will be open to the idea?

Some companies are the masters of "Frankenfoods." Adjusting saturated fat
or portion size does not address the problem.
