It seems that the selection is endless, I am just looking to build muscle
mass and burn some fat. I weight train 4 days a week, and do full cardio 2
days with limited cardio on the days I weight train.  What should I look for
in a protein powder? What is the real deal on this? Thanks for any help.
Also, is creatine worth it as a muscle builder? What makes for a good
cocktail to build mass and burn fat?

I think most protiens are pretty close to the same.

Stackers with ephedra burn fat nice.

do you know where you can get any? the chick at GNC told me that ephedra is
not legal yet, and they are not going to carry it anyway.

They use to sell a ton of it on Ebay. This is a legit source. I have
bought over $300 worth from her.

Fuhgeddaboudit.  Exercise burns fat.

I used to have the same questions until I bought this book:
<A

749?%5Fencoding=UTF8&camp=1789&link%5Fcode=xm2">The

Body Sculpting Bible for Men</A><BR>

The book helped me a lot with understanding how the body works,
nutrition, and even provided a workout routine!

As far as protein goes, I like <A
href="http://www.fitnessbag.com/product_details.asp?product=NB-025">Nature's
Best Zero Carb Isopure</A>.
It has no sugars or carbs like other protein powders and it taste
really good with soy milk and a banana (blended into a shake).
Protein is really important since your muscles and every living tissue
in your body is made out protein.
If you want to build muscle mass you need to consume about 1 gram of
protein for every pound of lean body mass (calculate by: 0.85 x Your
Weight).

The role of creatine is to enhance your performance in the gym by
reducing the time it takes the body to recover between workouts.
There are a lot of creatine supplements out there and some of them are
cheaper than others but not for nothing. When it comes to creatine I
would recommend that you buy a supplement of a reputable company, and
make sure that you buy ONLY Creatine MONOHYDRATE not phosphate or
citrate.
I would recommend:
<A
href="http://www.fitnessbag.com/product_details.asp?product=ES-160">EAS
Phosphagen Creatine</A> Or <BR>
<A
href="http://www.fitnessbag.com/product_details.asp?product=LB-043">Labrada
Creatine Monohydrate</A>

Good luck!

You don't even have to try and you can get that amount of protein, and
more, in your diet by just eating food.

Just remember to alternate them and not try to do both at
the same time.  After the first few months of beginner gains,
it won't work and you'll be stuck.

For most, that's a little too much too build much muscle on.
Good for losing fat though.

Well, primarily price.  I doubt very much that anyone who
eats a normal diet really needs protein powder, but for those
who have a hard time eating regularly, it may help.  Go for
the cheapest, in any case.

>Also, is creatine worth it as a muscle builder?

Ummm, no.  Not as such.  What creatine does is increase
(slightly, for some people, not everybody) their anaerobic
work capacity.   While you're "creatine loaded" you will have
a little more strength and a little more muscle endurance.
This may help getting through tough workouts.  For
competitive athletes, it provides a good edge.  Not everybody
responds to creatine, so it may be useless to some people.

It also binds a lot of water, so you can expect a weight gain
of a few pounds.  This will be mostly in the muscles, so they
will look fuller, which many will consider a good thing.

>What makes for a good  cocktail to build mass and burn fat?

Steroids and amphetamine, but I'd prefer not to go that route.

For price and overall quality, it doesn't get any better than Pro-Rated from
Costco.  $19 for six lbs.  Tastes great too.  It does have Splenda, however,
which some don't like.  Personally, I use Splenda for lots of things and
like it.
