I have a friend who is on this system - has to lose over 200 lbs - I
have heard that the food provided is sorely lacking in nutrients, but
the friend claims it's perfectly balanced and no supplements are
needed.  Any comments? The friend is diabetic and on insulin.

Your friend would be better off finding a healthy diet that be
maintained for life.  Is your friend gonna eat nutrisystems meals for
the rest of their life?  At the price they charge I would certainly
hope not.
