Sublingual Vitamins and Supplements

Which vitamins are useful taken sublingual (under the tongue) for folks who
have problems absorbing in their guts?

hmm.. no fat soluable vitamins, thats for sure. (this means vitamin a [incl.
beta-carotene], e, d, k); those need the fat transport system and/or other
transporters.

i doubt that you can actually substitute vitamins sublingual with success
when the gi-tract does not work because many vitamins have transporters and
are not "free" in the blood (with the exception of folate and biotin if i
remember correctly) but i don't know for sure.

Sublingual is not actually the best method for fast delivery.  Above
the tongue through the buccal membrane of the cheeks is actually more
absorbant.  New drugs are starting to come out using a nasal spray -
there's even a flu vaccine out that uses this delivery method.  The
only reason they use nasal sprays versus oral sprays is the taste -
they can't get the drugs to taste right.  There are some oral spray
vitamins out there that taste great.
