The following data are from

http://www.omega-pure.com

Each capsule delivers:     EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 120 mg
       DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid)      100 mg
       Tocopherols 1 mg
       Calories 10

Could it be, Mark, that the refining process concentrates the
omega-3? The following is also from the above site:

What Is OmegaPureT?
OmegaPureT is a refined oil that comes from the menhaden, a herring-like
fish. This is a wild fish species and is not genetically modified or
genetically enhanced. The refining process removes the taste and odor of
fish, resulting in a product that can be added to a variety of foods.
OmegaPure Refined Menhaden Oil is currently the only marine source of
long-chain Omega-3's directly affirmed by the FDA as a GRAS food ingredient
for direct human consumption. It is also kosher-certified.

Have I been duped all these years by false claims from Omega Pure?

The small level in the original was with regard to mercury levels as a
function of fish size, not amount of omega 3.  It is my understanding that
they are the source of most fish oil used in gel caps, not only the brand
mentioned.

Aha! You meant to say that there's little mercury in
Menhaden fish--not little omega-3. I believe that
you are correct. That's why I get my omega-3 from
Menhaden fish oil capsules (and/or from flax seed),
not from whole salmon, mackerel, herring and so on.
