To those who think the US government is not evil and corrupt wake up.
If there was a single best way to enlighten naive fools about what
really goes on in the world it would be this short 15 minute interview
with John Perkins.  It is some of the most sickening and unbelievable
stuff you will ever hear.  He worked for the NSA some major US
corporations as an "economic hit man" as they called themselves and he
has just written a book called "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man".
A book which by the way he was stopped from writing several times by
either bribery or threats.  Despite how disturbing this interview was
to listen to I had to laugh when he talked about how he was bribed by
a US corporation to not write this book and how it was technically
done legally as a "consulting fee" and he was told flat out that he
was not expected to do anything for them except not write his book.
It made me think of all those criminals who call themselves scientists
researchers and regulators who have those very same legalized bribe
deals going with drug companies or other industries they are supposed
to regulate.  I have always considered such things as legalized
bribery as most other rational intelligent people do, and to hear it
right from the mouth of a person who was personally involved in such
things was very satisfying.  Anyway all you fools like Robert who do
not understand the evil and corruption of the US governments
corporations and intelligence agencies listen to John Perkins and read
his book if you have the guts.  Other naive and ignorant people like
Markd who think the world is pure and good and there is no corruption
anywhere and especially not medical research would do well to check
this out too.  It is a great reality check for all you people with
your heads in the sand.

Also the best source on the criminality of the US government is former
LAPD narcotics detective Mike Rupert.  He uncovered CIA drug/arms
trafficking to Iran in the 70s when his fiance(a CIA agent who was
best friends with the niece of the Shah of Iran since childhood) tried
to involve him in her drug/arms smuggling operations after the CIA
failed to recruit him and have him join the LAPD as an undercover CIA
agent(which is illegal) in order to cover up drug trafficking in LA by
helping keep the local cops from getting into the CIAs business.
Totally illegal for CIA to have domestic operations but that is their
standard practice to hide their drug trafficking by infiltrating local
law enforcement.  Of course being one of those rare honorable and
moral people Mike Rupert blew the whistle on all of it and for his
troubles had his carrier and life destroyed.  Ever since then he has
become one of the worlds leading investigators of government
corruption and criminality.
