I sometimes get tingeling and hotness in my face and ears after eating
peanuts. I also get this and sometimes a flushing of the face when
drinking a little alcohol.

It feels as if I had taken a Niacin tablet.
What could cause this? Is it unsafe?

sure its unsafe... you could work that into a full blown
peanut alergy...a bit difficult to live with... cease 100%
with the peanuts first.   .what you get snuck into other foods
might not then go on to create a peanut alergy (those are
often fatal)

I have no clue of course..  my guess is that is the
peanuts, maybe agravated by the alcohol... or you would have
said..'any time I eat something then drink alcohol ..."

but it was only peanuts... you see?

I would go see an immunologist (medical specialist here)
He will a.ses your reaction, and may be able to desensitise you.
Then you won't have to carry a self-administered adrenaline
(epinephrine) dose around with you at all times.
Good Luck
