Hoodia think you're fooling? <sorry, bad pun, but I couldn't resist>

I hadn't heard of hoodia before this, but I suspect that unmonitored used
could be quite dangerous.

Looks interesting... and promising.  I saw this herbal tisane at several
healthfood stores that claimed it was hoodia, but I really didn't know what
it was (and like anything, if I don't know what it does... I don't take it)
I think though that any drugs made from such knowledge needs to give some of
the money as a royalty to the Kung people, after all, they were the ones
that discovered this.

On further research, hoodia is an appetite suppressant, but it is also a
whole plant and it is in no way a staple of the Kung/San diet.  If they made
a concentrated extract from it and sold it like they did with ephedra, it
might be abused by those with eating disorders and fatalities might result.
Obesity is a serious health problem, but there are often healthier ways of
losing weight besides killing appetite, although for some people who have
pathological eating habits (ie, those who have psychological problems tied
to eating, often they just cannot part with sweets and junk food, no matter
how many diets they try), an appetite suppressant might be their best bet.

Hithere,

i take Hoodia because u cancel dinner.. "Dinner Canceling" its very
healthy :-)

so taking a hoodia pill when the urge to eat comes works very well..

but i still have the same problem with the cost...

u ppl have any idea?

Try Froogle.com or Yahoo! Shopping, etc. (shopping bots).

NOW Foods has a good reputation as a supplement company:
