Many people say these herbs are harmful to the GI tract over time. Is
there any conclusive proof of this, like a medical study of some sort?

A "medical study" done on herbs? Would they be able to patent it? Would they
be able to make money from it?
Why would they do it?

as we all know dehydration is bad.. and loss of electolyte can ver
veryvery dangerous... ppl with high bloodpresure get medication to
loose water in the heart and stuff so the pressure normlizes...
so when ure healthy and do that as well.. what happends... u cant live
with a too low pressure.. i mean 80/40 or so..
if u askl me u ask for an excuse to use it.. if u cant stop taking
them ure addicted.. get to a doctor then!
