Caveats: Flax-High ALA intake has been associate with increased
incidence of prostate cancer. Thus flax oil may not be entirely
beneficial. Ground flax seed might be better, as it may provide more
lignans as well as fiber.
Cod liver oil-High long chain polyunsaturated fats may induce
increased mitochondrial membrane oxidation, and thus accelerate aging.

But isn't this true of ALL the essential fatty acids (EFA)? They're
all polyunsaturated. And for the short chain PUFA, the body is only
~10% efficient at converting the C18 into C20, so you've got to burn 9
molecules of ALA to get the same benefit of 1 molecule of fish-oil
EFA.
Seems like the lesson is: take as much fish oil as you need to get
your omega-3/6 ratio right, then knock it off. And the amount that
Winter suggested seemed like a reasonable level.
I guess the other lesson is: if you're going to ramp up your EFAs,
ramp up your antioxidants, too.

I think there are some risks getting this much retinol from cod liver
oil. I would replace some of the cod liver oil with fish oils or with
fatty fish.
I would also take some flax seeds or walnuts as a source of omega-3
fatty acids instead of flax seed oil. Flax seed contain lignans and
fiber as mentioned. And walnuts are a rich source of myricetin.

I agree.

Agree.
