hi, in Japan they have a mass of brilliant home-made pickles using up to
twenty different types of vinegar. one very common thing is garlic cloves in
a sweet vinegar. they are very mild tasting and so good, it's easy to eat a
whole lot at once.  however I was warned on several occasions 'not' to eat
more than two or three ( individual segments ) a day, as to eat more was not
good for you.

is there likely to be any truth in that, please?

Far as I know, it is not good to eat garlic if taking aspirin.   Will lower the
blood count appreciably.
