Hello,

I have started taking weight loss tablets that I got from a bodybuilding
shop, they have Ephedrine in them and they suppress your appetite as well as
burn fat. I have also started an Atkins style diet where I am only eating
Protein and trying not to eat Carbs, but being a vegetarian I find this
difficult. I have upped my water intake and in 2 weeks I have lost 1 stone.
Does anyone have any advice how else I can lose weight fast? I need to be
slim for a wedding and also I am very very depressed at my weight, I just
need to lose 3 stone and I will be very very happy. Thanks for any advice.

Read the f.cking book before you go on a diet. There is not a single
low-carb diet that even remotely suggests "only eating Protein and
trying not to eat Carbs". And get off the frikkin' ephedrine before
you do yourself some serious damage.

The safest way to lose weight relatively quickly is the Atkins
induction phase. Read the damned book first. It'll take you all of a
couple of hours to find out what the atkins diet is really about. The
weight will come off in time and you will feel a whole lot better in
the end.

OK I will try reading the book. Might I suggest you try and not swear as
much then?

My apologies for the swearing.... but....

Why on earth would someone go on any diet based on vague perceptions
of what the diet is supposed to be? The atkins diet has been accused
of being dangerous to ones health. Now I disagree completely and
firmly believe that is is much safer and healthier than a high carb
diet. But the media has repeated all the false dire warnings ad
nauseum. I cannot understand how anyone would make a major shift in
their diet without at least becoming somewhat educated about the diet
and its possible effects. This is your health we are talking about.

I find it absolutely frustrating to think how many people fail to do
even a modicum of due dilligence and research into such a basic thing
as diet. It's no wonder the US is in the health and weight condition
that it is.
