My girlfriend is on Alesse/Aviane(low dose estrogen/progestin pill). When she stops after 21 days, she almost never gets a period after 7 days - sometimes it takes 8-9 days, sometimes it takes even longer. As per her, it's been like this even with another pill(Femilon). What's the reason for this? Can this be a problem? Also, what's the right thing to do in this case? I am glad she is going to see the doctor. And it is certainly an interesting question. I am a bit surprised that the answer is not more readily available on the net. I am curious now, too. Jeff |
