I like to snack on dried fruits and nuts during the day,
'trail mix'. The problem is, it causes gas... which doesn't
bother me, but others in the vicinity don't appreciate it...
not a problem on the trail, but indoors, you know...
I wonder, is there anything which neutralizes this effect?
I'm not looking for prescription stuff, but maybe herbal
supplements, something like that.
Thanks,

Ease into the increased fiber, the dried fruits are loaded with sugars,
that's feeding the bacteria in your lower colon. I'm thinking Beano,
that may help. Happy farting!

You find it in the diarrhea/constipation section of your local drug
store. It contains an enzyme, if I recall rightly. Follow the
directions on the package, I think it says to take a few drops before
you eat. And the store will have other products, like Mylanta, that you
might consider. Ask the pharmacist.
