I've been taking Lortab, anywhere from the 7.5's to 12.5's. for my
cancer treatments (pain). I hear that taking large amounts of tylonel
is deadly? Sometimes for the pain I have to take up to 12 to 14
lortabs a day. My question is, I already know that I have Hep C, and
my doctor is aware of this fact, is my liver going to give out on me
soon? I'm not having any liver pain or anything, but I am concerned now
that i heard this about tylonel, please help me.

Hello,
I am NOT a doctor. I just checked my copy of the "Pill Book" and it states
on page 834 the following :
Use this drug with extreme caution if you suffer from ...liver disease or
viral infections of the liver."
I also read the section of the book that discusses Tylenol and it states
that "large doses of Tylenol or long term use of Tylenol may cause liver
damage".
I suggest that you discuss your concerns with your doctor and request
liver function blood tests.
It's my guess that your doctor is already testing you on a regular basis
for any symptoms of liver problems.
Jason
