Limbaugh's Cruelty

Rush Limbaugh has proven time and again what a nasty bully he can be.
Remember his feeble attempt to insult Chelsea Clinton by criticizing
her appearance when she was just a child? And his racist musings on
whether black men were equipped to play quarterback? (FYI, Rush, at
least five African-Americans are starting quarterbacks in NFL right
now.)

This week however, Limbaugh sank to a new low by mocking actor Michael
J. Fox and his battle with Parkinson's disease.

Fox has become a Limbaugh target because he has appeared in political
ads for Democratic senatorial candidates who support stem cell
research, such as Rep. Ben Cardin of Maryland and Claire McCaskill in
Missouri.

"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh told
listeners Monday. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely
an act...This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't
take his medication or he's acting."

Limbaugh ultimately offered a half-hearted apology, but it's difficult
to take this seriously. With a weekly audience of 10 million, he lives
to generate this type of controversy. He and Ann Coulter seem to be in
a competition for who can be the most consistently repugnant and
woefully ignorant.

With his acting career essentially over, Fox now works to raise
awareness of the plight of people who suffer from Parkinson's. Even if
Limbaugh objects to stem cell research, it certainly isn't a crime for
Fox to weigh in on the issue. Muhammad Ali has done this admirably. So
did the late Christopher Reeve. Will they be the next to draw
Limbaugh's vindictive ire?

You're right because I've never seen or heard anyone call Rush a
blow-hard or change his last name to Limpballs. Yeah it's wrong to
make fun of liberals.

Making fun of one's politics is fair game. Making fun of a person
suffering from a terrible disease is cruel, stupid and so typical of
moronic loud mouth a.sholes like Limbaugh.

Guess what... CNN just ran a interview with a respected neurologist
who treats Parkinson's patients who plainly stated that the shaking
and excess movements seen in that commerical are a RESULT of BEING ON
certain Parkinson's medications, (they are a side effect) not the
stupid moronic withdrawing from meds like the dickless wonder Limbaugh
claimed.

So as usual, the useless pile of sh.t called Limbaugh got it wrong.
Will he admit it? Of course not. That f.cking pig never admits when
he's wrong.

Howard stern, Phil Hendrie and LOADS of other 'anti-bush' radio hosts
make fun of death and suffering all the time. They do it because they
have the RIGHT to do it.

If I was offended by something I heard on a radio show I wouldn't
listen to it anymore.

Only an idiot would give that host more air time and attention.

Limbaugh made ALL the newschannels for [2] days and I bet limbaugh's
people kept saying 'make sure you spell his name right'

Man, what a bunch of dolt liberal drones.

Do you people get a special email in the morning telling you what to
be outraged about?

Personally, if you don't like what you hear on the radio or see on tv
you should change the channel. The government shouldn't be in the
business of regulating free speech.

As far as I'm concerned stern, or anyone else, should be able to say
what they want.

He did not mock Fox.  He pointed out that Fox himself said that he
went off his drugs when he testified so that he would look as bad as
possible.  He also pointed out that fetal stem cells have failed while
other methods have worked.  He pointed out that Fox did ads for Ben
Cardin, who voted AGAINST stem cell research.  The conclusion:  Fox is
lying or being exploited.

By the way, he NEVER mused about whether black men were equipped to be
quarterbacks, he only said that McNabb was getting more credit than he
deserved because he was black

Any more lies you'd like to tell about Limbaugh?

You move in a strange world if you believe that.  We just reached 300
Million
poeple in the US.  Maybe you include other Americans from both
contenents.
If you're restricting yourself to the comman US usage of the word
"American"
you are crazy.  I doubt there are even 150 Million people who could be
draft dogers since only men have ever been eligable for the draft and
the draft
has only been used for a short period of time.  It's aways jarring to
me just
how many right wing pundits and federal officials are draft dodgers.
From
time to time I have said I dodged the draft by joining the Air Force
but it's
not technically true.  My number never came up and I did fill out the
forms
indicating I was available for the draft and had a draft card.  As best
as I
can tell right wingers just aren't very patriotic.

No. I am saying you described 150Million people who could have had any
of those traits.

Perhaps we should execute them?

No, I've got nothing against gay people. In fact liberals like me want equal
rights for all people

What I don't like is hypocritical lard-a.ses who condemn others while hiding
what they really are. If Limpballs supported gay rights or at least called
the RepubliCONs on their gay bashing tactics, it would be different. When he
pushes the "gays want special rights" baloney, he's fair game.

Being a closet homo is not the same as bashing gays.

It talks about theories and suspicions and a bunch of 'perhaps' all
through the page. I wouldn't call that science. I will go out on a
limb and say the study was prompted by gays and some of the people who
did the study were also gay.

Need some science to back up these wild a.s claims people have these
days.

Gravity can be proven, homophobia being repressed homosexuality cannot
be proven.

Try again. Or don't, which would be easier.

Sure thing! I mean, if you're going to throw around unfounded
bullshit and lies, why not add a couple more?  But homosexual? I
thought you guys liked homosexuals? You keep voting Barney Frank
back in, and whatshisname Studds for 25 years, even tho he
seduced a HS boy page his first year. How come it's an insult
when you lie about Rush being one?

Actually, he did mock Fox.  He jerked and swayed as he described how
Fox was "acting."

Can liberals tell the truth?

Well maybe, but not about Limbaugh.

What Limbaugh said was that he had never seen someone with Parkinson's
Disease with symptoms as bad as Fox's in the commercials. He said something
to the effect that Fox was either exaggerating or was off his medicine. He
also said and documented that Fox lied in a couple of the commercials.  Is
that 'cruel'?

LOL.  Cute little lie by mischaracterization.  "...something to the
effect..." -- why not quote him?  He actually mocked Fox by swaying
wildly back and forth, and accused Fox of acting.

Is it cruel?  Cruelty is being mean to the helpless.  Fox is not
helpless.  Limbaugh is just an a.shole.  This isn't news, but might
just be a straw/camel's back event that cements the idea that these
types of cretins don't have anything elevating to say.
