Thanks for your reply however I have been taking Armour thyroid for years but
the problem existed before and during the time I have been using it. So
I think
it is something else. I have a thyroid test every year or so and it is always
normal with the amount of medication I am taking. I also switched to another
one (Synthroid) for about a year with no change but I switched back.

Ora,
I am not a doctor or an expert related to thyroid problems. I am a member
fo the alt. support.thyroid newsgroup and learned that when a patient has
major thyroid problems that I can cause problems related to the adrenal
glands. I suggest that you request adrenal function tests and new thyroid
fuction tests. Ît's my GUESS that the problem is related to the adrenals
or thyroid so those tests should rule in or rule out those glands as the
cause of your symptoms. The members of the newsgroup mentioned above know
more about this subject than I know.

Sounds like a plan. I have just subscribed to alt.support.thyroid and will be
posting there shortly. Thanks again.
