I am having continuous sinus infection problems.
The major symptoms are the wiped-out sick feeling (feels like I have a fever
but don't -- no energy), sore throat, lousy feeling in sinus (but no
significant problems
breathing).
I just finished a 10-day course of amoxicillan which stopped the
bronchitis/lower respr. problem (we were afraid of it heading towards
pneumonia, which happened to me in the past) I was also having and kept the
sinus stuff
at bay. But it is coming back. I don't want to get back on antibiotics if I
can avoid it, but...
This has been going on for 3 weeks and doesn't seem to be improving.
I am trying irrigation (just for 2 days) but no improvement (I don't have
any breathing/stuffed nose problems)
I will probably have to go back to doctor. Wondering if it is advisable to
repeat amoxicillan or do another drug as these bug might be resistant to
amoxicillan now. Also, I hate even doing the antibiotics. I usually try
(successfully) to just get over it. But when it gets this bad and starts
effecting bronchial/lungs I guess it's time for help.
Any suggestions??

By irrigation, do you mean inhalation? If so, what are you putting in the
hot water?

I'm using the hydromed system. Warm water + a salt powder (breathe ease).
It's like a water pik-- the water goes in one nostril and out the other
