I am trying to find out what a pic is. They want to give one to my father
who is in hospital now. Can anyone help or tell me what this is? He has
been on IV's for a week and now only when antibiotics are needed. We are
confused and not getting answers from staff.

Thank you Howard very much. I'd googled and web search and tried all I knew
but wasn't finding out anything
that was helpful until your link. I wasn't there, but my dad's wife was and
they weren't telling her anything.
She stood outside the door and finally heard them explaining to my dad what
they were doing and why.
Afterwards they apologized to his wife profusely that they didn't make sure
they both understood completely what the procedure was, how it was going to
be done and why. So I was trying deparetely to locate information to
aleviate some of her concern. I only have had experiece with a groshong with
my late husband.
I had never heard of picc so her concerns were even more anxious.
Thanks again so very much. I have printed out several of the articles for
her.
