On June 16, 2006 I went to the emergency room with upper stomach pain, it
felt as if someone was punching my intestines. The ER ran a CT on my
abdominal area and could not find anything wrong, they sent me home with pain
medication. The pain is still in the upper portion of my stomach, I have had
pelvis CT scan, gallbladder scan, and ultrasound on my stomach. All have come
back fine, can anyone help me out? The pain is not always there, it has been
off and on for 2 years, it feels like a bruised rib, but when it really acts
up it feels like a punch in the side.

Marvlisa, I am not making light of your pain, but could it be a gas pain?
Does it follow or precede a meal?  If it is meal associated, what food is
it?  The same one each time?  Always milk for instance, or always wheat
products?
Perhaps it would help to keep a diary of when it comes, what is going on,
what you have eaten, etc.
Good luck,
Jackie

Jackie-
I do not drink milk, and I am not sure about the wheat products; sometimes
the pain comes without food in-take. That is a good idea about keeping a
diary of what I eat, and when the pain comes and goes.

Thanks for the advice,
MK

Did they check for h. Pylori? Pancreas tests?

They did not perform a h. Pylori or pancreas test. I am scheduled for a
consultation with a surgeon on Tuesday Sept. 19. The surgeon will be able to
review my test results from the CT pelvis/abdomin, ultrasound, and
gallbladder test that were performed previously. I am not sure what they will
send me to do next. Someone else mentioned a colon detox, have you heard of
this?
